From The Nomad...

Over the years I have returned to the UK many times and each time I felt that the traditional English Pub was fast disappearing (my old watering holes have all changed!). Pubs were and are becoming large cavernous drinking rooms with multiple televisions, gaming machines and loud music - with even the traditional pub grub such as 'a ploughman's' no longer available!...just a plastic menu of plastic food!

They no longer seem to be that wonderful gathering place for a quite chat (or not so quiet) over a pint or two with your mates!

I believe that the Traditional Pub still exists and want to show them to the world - FOR FREE!

I need your help in this liquid endeavour so that on my next trip I can seek them out and show the world where to find them!

Cheers and Bottoms Up...The Nomad

In My Humble Opinion (The Nomad) The Traditional English Pub should be a social gathering place and should have:

1. Top Cask Ales.
2. Affordable Quality Wines by the glass.
3. Multiple Rooms or Bars (public, private, snug, saloon)....not just one 'cavernous' hole!
4. Good 'Traditional' Food plus tea and coffee. (ploughmans, sausages, pies, salads).
5. Darts
6. NO TV (go to a sports bar)
7. NO Smoking (not just for health, but me bloody clothes stink and the missus throws them outside)
8. NO canned music - a pub is for friendly chat!
9. NO Gaming machines (too bloody annoying)
10. FRIENDLY BAR STAFF................
